All employees are OSHA certified to minimize job-site hazards, a corporate plan has been established as a guideline for job-site safety, and site specific health/safety plans are developed for projects as required. For each job a daily safety analysis is performed by field personnel during tailgate meetings. Also, EMCO of Santa Fe works closely with their clients to comply with their specific health/safety programs and requirements.

Parking Lot

The first thing your customers see when they arrive at your business is your parking lot. The best way to make a good first impression is by having a high-quality, well-maintained parking lot. You certainly can’t risk having customers trip on cracks or sprain an ankle in a pothole. EMCO of Santa Fe has been building and maintaining parking lots for over 15 years. Don’t trust the reputation of your business to just anyone!

When designing a parking lot, water drainage is critical. A parking lot should not be designed with less than a 1.5% slope. This slope allows for complete water drainage and makes it possible to properly overlay it in the future. Water is your parking lot's worst enemy. When it sits on the surface, it can find its way through tiny cracks in the asphalt, thereby saturating and softening the area underneath, ultimately leading to a pothole. Providing proper slope and sufficient compaction during the design and construction of a parking lot will reduce the chances of potholes and cracking.

EMCO of Santa Fe self-performs the site work for parking lots including but not limited to clearing the site of debris and brush, performing the earthwork, placing road base materials, and placing the asphalt. We regularly coordinate and solicit prices from other subcontractors such as underground contractors, concrete contractors, striping contractors, and any other specialty contractor that may be required to complete the entire project.

Sub Division

Over the last 15 years, many developers have chosen to trust their projects to EMCO of Santa Fe. As the owners of the job, developers know that the quality of our work will reflect on them. For subdivision work, EMCO needs to be provided with a set of engineered plans. Once the plans are received, we use state-of-the-art software to generate precise quantities of materials and can then provide accurate pricing to the owner.

EMCO of Santa Fe self-performs the site work for the subdivision including but not limited to clearing the site of debris and brush, performing the earthwork, placing road base materials, and placing asphalt. We regularly coordinate with and solicit prices from other subcontractors such as underground contractors, concrete contractors, striping contractors, and any other specialty contractor that may be required to complete the entire civil construction package. It saves the developer both time and money to work through one contractor.

Road Works

EMCO of Santa Fe is one of the leading road-building companies. We have performed road work all over the state.

Our capabilities include building, reconditioning and resurfacing everything from major roads, highways and Interstate sections, to local streets, intersections and turning lanes.

EMCO's operations include one of the largest excavation, grading, and asphalt equipment fleets in the state. We own and operate our asphalt plants strategically located throughout our market areas. All of our operations include fully staffed safety and quality control departments.
